Sometimes, the best inspiration lies right in front of us. With that in mind, we embarked on our wallpapers adventure more than 14 years ago. The idea: to provide you with a new collection of unique and inspiring desktop wallpapers every month. This February is no exception, of course.

For this post, artists and designers from across the globe once again got their ideas flowing and designed wallpapers to bring some good vibes to your desktops and home screens. All of them come in a variety of screen resolutions and can be downloaded for free. November can feel a bit gray in many parts of the world, so what better way to brighten the days than with a splash of colorful inspiration? For this month’s wallpapers edition, artists and designers from around the globe once again tickled their creativity and designed unique and inspiring wallpapers that are sure to bring some good vibes to your desktops and home screens.

As always, the wallpapers in this post come in a variety of screen resolutions and can be downloaded for free — just as it has been a monthly tradition here at Smashing Magazine for more than 14 years already. And since so many beautiful designs have seen the light of day since we first embarked on this monthly creativity adventure, we’ve also added a selection of oldies but goodies from our archives to the collection. “I love going to aquariums – the colors, patterns, and array of blue hues attract the nature lover in me while still appeasing my design eye. One of the highlights is always the jellyfish tanks. They usually have some kind of light show in them, which makes the jellyfish fade from an intense magenta to a deep purple — and it literally tickles me pink. For many of us, July is the epitome of summer. The time for spending every free minute outside to enjoy the sun and those seemingly endless summer days, whether it’s in a nearby park, by a lake, or on a trip exploring new places. So why not bring a bit of that summer joy to your desktop, too?

For this wallpapers post, artists and designers from across the globe once again tickled their creativity and designed desktop wallpapers that capture that very special July feeling — just like it has been a monthly tradition here at Smashing Magazine for more then 14 years already. You’ll find their artworks compiled below, along with a selection of summery favorites from our wallpapers archives that are just too good to be forgotten.
